St. George's Episcopal Church provides important services for both visitors and local residents of the secluded Pine Grove community in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Historically, St. George's was a mission church, where parishioners could come to receive medical treatment, a haircut, and dentistry, in addition to spiritual guidance.
Today, St. George's continues to provide spiritual services to all in need, and is working with the help of Episcopal Diocese of Virginia and Luray Friends Meeting toward the establishment of additional supportive offerings, such as a food pantry, substance abuse services, internet/Wi-Fi connectivity, a small library, hot meals, and spiritual retreats/seminars.
Donated funds will be used for the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities (wherever our greatly appreciated volunteer-work does not suffice), such as for the repair and modernizing of our air-conditioning, water-treatment, and heating services. Additionally, donations will be utilized to support our planned services, such as our food pantry and offered Wi-Fi.
St. Georges is also happy to welcome volunteers to help maintain its facilities, and aid with the services that we offer. We greatly appreciate any and all contributions to our mission of serving others and loving our neighbors as ourselves.
