Our Church
St. George's is a small congregation located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, near Shenandoah National Park. We started in the early twentieth century as one of the Mountain Missions of The Episcopal Diocese of Virginia. We are deeply rooted in the picturesque hollow in which we are located. Local craftsmen from the community did the beautiful stone work that adorns the church both inside and out. They also constructed much of the original stone work found on Skyline Drive.
Our worship is grounded in the Anglican tradition, but with a healthy dose of mountain hospitality and culture added in! If you are visiting Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah Valley, or if you are looking for a church home, come worship with us.
We hold Sunday morning prayer services at 11 a.m. on every Sunday of the month at:
